Blood Ties Australian Launch

The launch of Blood Ties was held on Wednesday, 12th September at Ashfield Library in Sydney. Over 100 people turned up for the launch - thank you to everyone for making the evening such a success.

I had a terrific time, thanks to the efforts of Ashfield Librarian Therese Scott and to Marianne de Pierres, who launched the book with wit and warmth.

I've only had two launches ( out of eighteen books - my first kids' book and my first adult book) and one of the things I love about them is the way that they bring all the different parts of your life together: family, friends, publishers, editors, other writers, professional contacts, readers, booksellers, even, in my case, students, all celebrating with you. It's a wonderful experience, and I thank every one who was a part of it.
